Andy Doughty

At the risk of sounding like a cliché, he would say design has been an undercurrent to his entire life. His passion for creating beautiful spaces started at a young age.
After completing an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University, a graduate degree from Texas A&M University, and almost a decade of teaching education, Andy pursued his love of interior design and had the amazing opportunity to work with the Burkle Creative team.
One of the unique aspects of Andy's experience is that he and Steven have renovated several of their own homes over the past thirteen years. This firsthand experience has given them a deep understanding of the construction process and has honed their ability to visualize and execute complex design plans.
A+S Collective Designs has had the opportunity to work with a multitude of clients all over Texas and beyond. As the design firm continues to grow, Andy’s main focus is to continue to provide an exceptional experience for clients and always be a student of the art of design.
Andy has been married to Steven for seven years (together for 13), and they currently live in Dallas, TX where they spend most of their time discussing design projects, visiting their friends in New York, and sipping espresso martinis!
Steven Reker
Principal Designer
If you asked Steven, he would say that he has always had an affinity for homes. His husband would say that it started with an obsession with real estate, but in reality, he has always had an appreciation for well-designed homes and well-executed architecture. Steven is from West Texas and has a petroleum engineering degree from Texas A&M University — working for over a decade in the oil and gas industry. Over the years, he has found a way to strike a balance between technical expertise and a creative perspective.
Steven is a natural creative with the ability to approach interior design with efficiency while creating beautiful spaces. While he still maintains his career as an engineer, it was a natural fit for Steven to come on board as a business partner to A+S. With his experience in designing and drafting elevations and renderings for his own renovations, he has the ability to create spaces that are unique, personalized, and functional.
In addition to his engineering and design work, Steven holds an MBA from Texas Tech University, which has given him a deep understanding of business and management principles and brings a wealth of business and finance knowledge to A+S.
